About me

My name is Bernie, and I am a 31-year-old lass living in Kent.

I was diagnosed with IBS at 14-years-old. Not ideal right?

Over the years my symptoms have varied, and for the most part I was able to keep it under control, until 2017. In 2017 my symptoms went mutant, and as well as the inevitable relationship I have with my toilet, I began vomiting and passing out after random meals. Still not ideal right?

That’s when I visited my doctor for help. I was advised to try a low FODMAP diet. Now, when I first looked at this diet, I freaked out. There was so much I had to cut out of my diet, and then slowly reintroduce, I honestly thought my life was over.

I finally seem to have figured out what I can and cannot eat, and following numerous tests at the hospital I have found out some additional information, and can now finally live a healthy and happy life again.

I don’t have a degree in nutrition or fitness, so this blog is purely just my experiences and how I’ve survived it all, but any questions please do get in contact!
